Chocolate Lace Lollipops! [Recipe]

I came across these awesome lollipops and just had to recreate them!!! This isn't much of a recipe but common knowledge haha I'll share my process on how to make it anyway :P it's great for serving at parties!

Makes 8 lollipops

What you will need:

50g milk chocolate bar

50g white chocolate bar (or just a whole 100g bar of one chocolate)
A selection of decorative edibles
8 cake pop sticks
Paper
A flat board
Cling film
Piping bags

Method:
(Pictures of method below)

  1. Melt the chocolate in separate bowls, to make sure it doesn't burn, I used the old method of boiling water and adding it to a large bowl and then place a smaller bowl (with the chocolate) on top and let it melt away!
  2. When the chocolate has melted set it aside to cool down a little bit so it will be easier to work with, we can make our template! Grab a piece of paper big enough to cover your board and draw circles (or any shape you desire) about an inch and a half away from each other. 6 small circles will fit on an A4 piece of paper.
  3. Wrap cling film around your paper and board, set aside.
  4. Spoon the melted chocolate into your piping bags and cut a small hole at the tip (around 2-3 mm wide).
  5. Make spiral shapes on your circles, do around 2-3 layers per lolly.
  6. Add the stick on the edge around 2 cms in and fully cover it with the melted chocolate. Make sure the sticks lie flat on the board as it could drop off if hanging out!
  7. Decorate you lollipops!
  8. Let it set in the fridge for a few hours, I left mine overnight. Put it in the freezer if you're impatient!
  9. When ready, lift off the cling film and gently peel off the lollipops.
  10. Place them in a cup and they're ready to be served and enjoyed! :) Don't leave it out for long as it will start to melt and collapse!!
Notes

I didn't leave my chocolate to cool down long enough so it started to spread than stay in the width that I wanted! Probably let it cool for 20-30 mins in a cool place, just long enough that it's still melted but not as runny.
My serving size says 8 as there was enough chocolate left to make 2 more after my 6! I just couldn't fit it all on one board.

This is something you can get the kids involved in, it's fun to do and they can get creative with their designs :) just make sure the decorative items aren't too heavy as these spirals will not hold them up for long :P
